THE NETWORK FORUM THE NETWORK FORUM
(Keeps Everyone on the Network Communicating)
I. IntroductionI. Introduction
The Network Forum provides for an interchange of ideas among users on
the network. It also provides a platform for discussion by special
interest groups, committees, task forces and work groups. Getting
everybody together in one place at a specific time isn't necessary,
since each person can participate at his or her own convenience.
Each user types in and proofreads his or her own article which may be an
original idea, or a response to another article. Forum members may read
articles, browse through titles, print articles and add or change
articles. Many separate forums may be established, and forums may be
open to all or limited to a specific group of members.
The Network Forum program has up to four administrators (power users)
who can add forums and set overall management parameters. Each forum
also has a forum leader who can be any user on the network and is
responsible for one specific forum. The management menu let's an
administrator or forum leader manage the details of the forum such as
cleaning up unwanted articles, approving new articles before they are
displayed to the public, and adding, removing and changing member lists
for private forums.
